Welcome! I teach music to children and adults in Ditmas Park. I want to show students how learning music goes far beyond playing an instrument -- that they build superb life skills throughout our time together. My approach is fun, personal, and enriching. I use the piano to focus on the basics of theory, rhythm, reading music, and popular songs. Whether they're interested in the raw emotion of the blues, the depth of classical medleys, or confidently playing a simple folk song, I'm there to guide them.
I firmly believe that learning music teaches profound life skills. However, I commit to a broader goal as well - to help them learn how to learn. I show them how to handle frustration, and feel safe and free to accept criticism, direction, and create, all within the structure of each lesson. In short, it's music for the whole person. I bring a long and varied history to each lesson, including jazz and classical music studies, performance experience, and composing for independent and commercial projects.
Hi,I'm Annie. I'm passionate about about giving young beginners a vibrant start to learning about music by introducing them to the keyboard. I have over 30 years experience as an early childhood music educator. I focus on teaching young beginners from 4 years of age in my home studio. My students also have fun exploring various percussion instruments, guitar & ukulele. The Music Color Method has been a great addition to my teaching resources. Young students love it and feel enthused about their learning from lesson one!
All resources are included. I charge reasonable rates. Lessons are available during the NSW school terms.

HI my name is Ms.Susan, at least that is what my students call me. I have been teaching piano for 20+ years. Throughout my career I have discovered that the traditional way of teaching piano did not work well with most students so I have developed a program that excites all children to want to play.
My program goes full circle in teaching not only reading the music notes but also skills in improvisation, composition and how to feel the beat. I specialize in the younger child. I believe this is the greatest time to develop that music talent we all have inside of us. My preschool program can begin a child as early as 3 years old. Don't worry if your child is much older that this because I have had adults love my piano style. It is fun. It is energetic. It is the way learning was meant to be.
